GUEST RANTER
PAM PENICK is a garden photojournalist and publisher of Digging, an award-winning, informational and inspirational website for garden lovers. As a garden designer in Austin, Texas, she helped homeowners convert drought-withered lawns into Texas-tough gardens, and she’s written two books, The Water-Saving Garden and Lawn Gone!, a bestseller since 2013. Her writing has also appeared in such magazines as Country Gardens, Garden Design, and Wildflower. As the founder and host of Garden Spark, she brings sought-after speakers on garden design to central Texas audiences. In her own garden she contends with shade, ever-present deer, and the occasional armadillo.
