Lucy Allen, Guest Ranter

Lucy Allen is a horticulturist with several years’ experience working in an independent UK nursery near York. She now designs and maintains gardens in North Yorkshire. Before this, she taught English Literature at the University of Cambridge and became interested in the history of gardening. Her popular Substack, Lucy Writes History, is a very entertaining and informative dive into medieval life; and is often infused with gardening lore and current garden wisdom.
