Jenna O’Brien has been designing gardens and working in the landscapes of Berkshire County, Massachusetts since 1998. She is the owner of Viridissima Horticulture and Design, a company that specializes in container gardening, entry gardens, holistic estate garden management, and conservatory & greenhouse plant care.
Over the past several years, through her Berkshire Garden Style blog, Jenna has been shaping the core philosophies that guide her gardening practice: the belief that the cultivated and the wild can coexist, that we should make changes upon the earth while honoring what and who is already here, and that her responsibility as a gardener is to cultivate a community of beauty while respecting the processes of nature.
Jenna’s gardens have been featured in Great Gardens of the Berkshires. She has taught classes/given lectures in container gardening, overwintering, and understanding woody plants, among other topics, at Berkshire Botanical Garden and other horticultural institutions throughout the Northeast. She is also a certified yoga instructor. Follow her on Instagram @viridissimahorticulture.
