Since 2006 GardenRant has been the work of four opinionated gardeners doing their best to “uproot the gardening world,” with occasional help from guests adding their voices to the mix.  But now that’s changed, with the addition of three new GardenRant partners as regular Voices over there in the sidebar.  We’re proud and excited to introduce them to Rant readers.

Allen Bush is a highly regarded plantsman, recipient of the Perennial Plant Association’s Award of Merit and Director of Special Projects for Jelitto Perennial Seeds.  He has 15 years experience running a mail order nursery that offered perennials, wildflowers and rare trees and shrubs and introduced some award-winning plants to the market.  Allen trained at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, England  and now serves on the board of the Olmsted Parks Conservancy in Louisville, Kentucky.  He wrote for the wonderful Human Flower Project site from its inception in 2008 until 2012, when he became a frequent guest here at GardenRant.

Evelyn Hadden is a long-time advocate for Less Lawn and a central figure in the Lawn Reform Coalition.  She authored Beautiful No-Mow Yards and speaks nationally carrying the gospel of “Less Lawn, More Life.”  After way too many winters in Minneapolis she and her husband have returned to her home town of Boise, Idaho, so Evelyn will bring to this blog a perspective from regions heretofore unrepresented.

Ivette Soler, aka The Germinatrix , is a garden designer and consultant working in the Los Angeles area.  She’s written for Garden Design, Met Home, and Sunset Magazine, among others and authored The Edible Front Yard: The Mow-Less, Grow-More Plan for a Beautiful, Bountiful Garden.  Ivette brings to the Rant a SoCal style, her expertise in design and in growing edibles, and a flair for stirring the pot, aka ranting!

So welcome, new GardenRanters!  Let’s have some fun!
