Landscapes with Healing Powers: Video Tribute to Lava Hot Springs

Occasionally we Ranters pay video tributes to our favorite public gardens, a lovely tradition begun by our own Susan Harris.

Here’s a little video ode (videode?) to a sweet destination tucked away in the mountains of southern Idaho, the town of Lava Hot Springs. Hope you will be able to get a hint of the serenity I felt when I spent a few days exploring the area last fall.

Healing gardens are garnering more attention as we come to recognize and even quantify the powerful, beneficial ways that nature can influence on our mental, emotional, and physical health. But as this town reminds us, the healing benefits of nature have long been recognized by souls seeking refreshment.

Nice! What video program did you use to create it? Susan

    • This was made in iMovie, recording narrative and music onto my computer via built-in mic. I chose to make a video because I wanted to show more photos than I’d normally use in a blog post.
