Chickens are easy to keep in a small space and I totally understand their appeal – cheerful, domestic and productive. I live in the country and I have too many chickens to name, but I love them all.
My all-grown-up chicken just laid her first egg a half hour ago!! I am so proud of her, but she is squawking loud enough to set off all the neighborhood dogs.
The noise of them bawking and raccoons are the only chicken drawbacks. They are pretty charming pets.
