Andrew Scott Rocks

Bug2How brilliant is Andrew Scott?  I don’t even know where to begin.

First of all, he makes bugs.  Big, beautiful, artsy bugs.  You can buy his bug sculptures on Etsy, and let me tell you, they are seriously cool, one-of-a-kind things.

He also makes other crazy creatures and things in jars, which you can see on his website.

He leads bug walks in Vancouver’s Stanley Park.

He takes fabulous photos of his creations and uploads much more interesting art at Flickr.

There was even a Readers Digest article about him. Offbeat ways to make money, indeed.

I discovered him because of his Moo cards.Bigbug

Thanks to Andrew for letting us show his photographs.  So your assignment for Monday:  Go spend the rest
of the day in the Bug Factory.   You’ll be glad you did.

Don’t you love big bugs of this sort? Check out another big bug exhibit here: http://www.newenglandwild.org/visit/bigbugs/about

Now that is a praying mantis!

Oh, the 2nd picture is BETTER than a bug.

    It’s a TRILOBITE! Way cool…

Maybe I should have one crawling out of my garden pond?
