From Monday’s Buffalo News:
Chautauqua County sheriff’s deputies have charged
a 58-year-old Irving man with drunken driving—on a lawn mower.
Deputies dispatched early today to an Irving residence to remove an
intoxicated man from the home spotted the man riding his lawn mower
away from the scene and stopped him shortly after 1 a.m. today.
They charged Merwin C. Pierce Jr. with felony driving while intoxicated
and aggravated unlicensed operation, among other charges. Sheriff’s officials
said the felony charge was lodged because of a previous DWI conviction.
This charge should have been called MWI. I’m not relinquishing GWI.Posted by Elizabeth Licata on May 14, 2008 at 11:00 am, in the category Ministry of Controversy.
