Rant on the Road – Washington, D.C.

Okay, so it’s really more like Rant on the Subway, since downtown D.C. is a 12-minute ride from my house.  But I’ve always been jealous of Amy’s grand multi-state tours, so with my first big speaking event coming up this Saturday – and my first with actual photos  – I can’t help making a little fuss about it.

So, local GardenRant readers, I hope to see you at 10 a.m. at the old Carnegie Library on Mount Vernon Square for my talk about Creating and Taking Care of a Sustainable Garden (what else?).  The details are all here.

I’ll be reporting back about how it all went, of course.  The working title is "To create a PowerPoint, it apparently takes a village."

I’d help you with the Powerpoint if I could – I’m pretty handy. Maybe we could trade Powerpoint coaching for garden coaching! I’d really like to attend this event, but I have a baseball game that will require my attendance; we’re short parents this Saturday. Good luck and I hope everything goes well.

Good luck Susan – wish I could be there but I’m working the Green Spring Garden sale.

I wonder if there’s anyway future talks (which there will be certainly!) could be scheduled for less “primetime” – maybe evening hours?
