There are more garden tours in Northern California this weekend than we could possibly get around to, but by golly, we’re going to try. (In particular, we’re sorry to miss Digging Dog opening its private garden for the Mendocino Garden Tour. Durn.) If you’re out inspecting garden sheds, checking plant labels, and generally kicking the tires of your neighbors’ gardens this summer, send us a full report and we’ll post it. Bonus points for anyone who photographs hastily-planted new beds made up entirely of blooming one-gallon perennials purchased just hours before the tour began and surrounded by a hides-a-multitude-of-sins layer of gorilla hair. (hey, we’ve all done it.)Posted by Amy Stewart on June 22, 2006 at 9:23 am, in the category Real Gardens.
